Design Your Unique Opal Engagement Ring: A Journey of Love

At Michelle Yuen Jewelry, we specialize in creating unique opal engagement rings, including custom engagement rings for couples. Here’s an overview of our process:

Step 1: Choosing Your Opal

Each opal is unique, and we carefully source opals from Australia. Please ensure you review and select your opal carefully, as we do not accept returns or exchanges after purchase.

Step 2: Design Consultation

Once you’ve chosen your opal, we’ll start preparing the design for your custom ring. To ensure a smoother design consultation, we recommend preparing the following in advance:

• Favorite design styles or inspiration images
• Your ring size(s)
• Engraving content (e.g., initials, important dates)

Tip: Previous customers have drawn inspiration from nature, geometric patterns, or other abstract ideas and shared images with us as references.

Step 3: Budget & Pricing

The price of your engagement ring will depend on the complexity of the design, materials, and craftsmanship. Please let us know your budget range, and we’ll help you create the perfect ring within your desired budget.

Step 4: Initial Designs

We’ll create up to 2-3 initial designs based on your chosen opal and preferences. You can suggest up to 3 small revisions focused on the details, without involving a complete redesign. If the final design still doesn’t meet your expectations, you can:

• a. Provide your own design
• b. Keep your chosen opal and explore other design options with another designer

Step 5: Final Design & Quotation

Once we’ve finalized the design together, we’ll provide a detailed quote based on the latest gold prices. After you’re happy with the quote, a 50% deposit of the total amount will be required to begin the production process, which will take about one and a half months.

Step 6: Delivery

We’ll photograph your completed ring and notify you once it’s ready. After the remaining payment is settled, we’ll arrange delivery to your specified address, or we can schedule an appointment to pick up the ring at our office.
